Join The Canyon Poets on October 20th for a featured reading by Megan D. Prestridge, a southern writer whose work brims with humor, heart, and the textures of everyday life in Louisiana. A recent MFA graduate from the Mississippi University for Women, Megan brings a voice both tender and tenacious—rooted in the red clay and green grass of Cloutierville (pronounced Ka-Loo-cha-ville). She lives in Pineville with her husband, Kristopher, and their two sons, where she divides her time between teaching Zumba to spirited older ladies, showing fourth graders how to find their voices on the page, and savoring the simple moments that make up a writer’s life.
