About the Event

Join us for an inspiring evening of poetry as The Canyon Poets present a special reading featuring Jessica Femiani, followed by an open reading. Jessica Femiani, the granddaughter of immigrants, brings her powerful voice and unique perspective to the literary world. Her work explores themes of identity, heritage, and resilience.

Before relocating to Binghamton, New York, to pursue her PhD in English, Jessica taught English in Corona, Queens. Her poems and essays have been featured in publications such as the Paterson Literary Review, Labor: Studies in Working-Class History, #MeToo, Anch’io, and Mom Egg Review. Currently, she resides in Binghamton and is an adjunct lecturer at SUNY Oneonta.

After Jessica’s reading, we will open the floor for an open mic session, welcoming poets of all backgrounds to share their work. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just beginning, this is a welcoming space for all voices. Don’t miss this opportunity to…
